Technical Support:

If you are experiencing technical difficulties in viewing our site, the information on this page may be able to help you troubleshoot the problem.

Help Topics:

Compatibility

Our site is designed for compatibility with Internet Explorer and Netscape versions 4 and higher on both the PC and Apple platforms; version 5 browsers are recommended. There is a problem with the Mac version of Netscape browsers supporting the JavaScript which navigates the publications; upgrading to Netscape version 6 for the Mac will correct most of it.

When possible, we also test for compatibility with Opera, Mozilla Firefox and other browsers and other operating systems. While we strive to keep the site as accessible as possible, we have also made some design decisions in order to enhance the viewing experience for visitors to our site and to take advantage of current specifications of HTML.

NOTE TO MAC OS X USERS: if you are using the OmniWeb browser you will be unable to access parts of the site due to the lack of support for JavaScript. In the case of our flyer, use the html navigation which is linked from the "help" page of the flyer. If you are using the Internet Explorer 5.1 preview release, you may notice that some pages do not render properly. We do not plan to adjust the site until a final release of that browser is made available.

JavaScript

Many site enhancements are enabled using JavaScripts which are processed by your browser. If your browser is older than Version 4, you may not have sufficient JavaScript support to view all elements of the site. Even if you have a newer browser, you must ensure that the ability to process JavaScript is enabled in order to view those elements. Controls for processing JavaScript can be found in the application preferences of your browser.

If at any time you are browsing our site and encounter an error message which says "JavaScript Error," please contact us with the name of the page which you were viewing and the text of the message you encountered. Please also include the version of the browser you were using, what type of computer you were using, and your connection speed. This will help us diagnose the problem and repair it at our end, if possible.

Cookies

This site uses HTTP "cookies" to transport information from one page on the site to another. A cookie is a small file which is saved on your computer (usually in the folder where your web browser resides) that will hold information which the site can use to make your visit more personalized. For example, some sites like Amazon.com use cookies to keep track of your name and buying preferences so that they can greet you by name when you go back to their site.

Any cookies which are used on this site will exist only to make your browsing experience easier; they will not collect important personal information, nor will they harm your computer. If you wish to view the cookies which reside in your computer or change your browser settings to reject all cookies or ask you for approval before accepting them, use the preferences settings in your browser. By default, web browsers do accept cookies from sites.

Plug-Ins

A Flash plug-in is now required to view this site. To ensure faster loading pages, flash is used for the main menu. If you are not prompted to download the newest flash plug-in, and do not see any links on the left side bar, please visit the Macromedia Website and download the free Flash player. This is a safe program and comes pre-installed with most current browsers.

Get Adobe Acrobat Reader! As an option, you may wish to download a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader if you do not have it installed already (it is often included as a plug-in for current browsers). The Reader will allow you to view PDF (Portable Document Format) files. Many of our online documents including forms and flyers are available in PDF form which you can save on your computer and print or read when off-line.

Other Problems

If you are experiencing a problem which is not discussed in any of the topics above, or if you have attempted to fix one of the above but are still having problems, please visit the Contact Us page and send us an email describing the problem. Please include an email address or phone number where we can reach you; your browser type and version, if you know it; what type of computer you use; what type of operating system it uses (i.e., Windows 95, Windows NT, Linux, MacOs 9); and your connection speed. We will do our best to work with you so that you have a trouble-free experience in using our site.
