Make Your Own Unique Christmas Card

1. Begin by creating the base of the card. Cut a piece of paper from your red cardstock measuring 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”. Fold this in half.

Materials:

  • 1 sheet 12" x 12" red cardstock
  • 6” of Fibatape
  • 1 medium double sided adhesive raised sticker
  • Christmas stamp
  • White Embossing Powder
  • Heat gun
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Pencil

Tips & Ideas:

Fibatape is an inexpensive and easy way to achieve the “mesh” look with the added bonus of having an adhesive backing. You can also change the colour of the tape by rubbing your ink pad over the mesh.

2. Cut a piece of drywall Fibatape a little bigger then the width of the card, place on the card and trim. This tape already has an adhesive on the back.

3. Choose your stamp and using pigment ink, stamp your saying onto the bottom right corner of the card.

4. While the ink is still wet, add white embossing powder to the card, remove the excess powder. Using your heat gun, heat set the powder.

5. Add your raised sticker over top of the mesh tape to complete the card.
