Community Involvement:

We Care About Our Community At Kent we care about our community and are proud to sponsor events and programs that foster the growth and development of Atlantic Canadians.  We would be happy to review your request for sponsorship or donation. We have divided our sponsorship/donation program into three categories: Sports Community Events Health and Wellness Regional charity and community events may make donation/sponsorship requests through our Corporate Office at customerservice@kent.ca.  For all other requests, please contact the manager of your local store.

1.  Sports Sponsorships

Youth Sports

Sport team sponsorships are handled on a team by team basis at store level.  Teams are decided on twice a year (fall and spring).  In order to be considered for a team sponsorship please submit your letter of request to the attention of the store manager in your community.  Kent prefers to sponsor team uniforms for players.

Maritime Junior ‘A’ Hockey League (MJAHL)

Kent is the proud title sponsor for the Maritime Junior ‘A’ Hockey League.  Each season the leagues 12 teams play off for the chance to win the Kent Cup.  This sponsorship began in 2006 and marked the first ever title sponsorship for the MJAHL.  Teams are located in Truro, Amherst, Halifax, Antigonish, Yarmouth, New Glasgow, Summerside, Miramichi, Moncton, Restigouche, Woodstock and Charlottetown.

2.  Community Events

Each year we are proud to sponsor events in our community that benefit the lives of all of those living in the area.  These events range from community festivals to benefit auctions.

3.  Health and Wellness

The health and well being of everyone in the community is top of mind at Kent and we are proud to sponsor many initiatives in this area.

	IWK and Janeway Each year we donate thousands of dollars to children’s hospitals in our area.  We also do fundraising for these hospitals at an in store level through the sale of balloons, BBQs and other endeavors.
	Canadian Red Cross The Red Cross is committed to helping the lives of those affected by disasters in our communities as well as the rest of the world.  Kent is proud to support their efforts through fundraising and financial donations.
	The Rally of Hope Kent associates are proud to sponsor the Rally of Hope each year.  The Rally of Hope is an annual event benefiting the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation.  The proceeds of this event are used to purchase equipment which provides better health care facilities and treatment for people all over the Maritimes.

Sponsorship/Donation Restrictions

We accept requests for donations and sponsorships at any time.  Proposals should be submitted a minimum of one month in advance of the project or event.  Please note that we receive many requests and unfortunately we are not able to support all requests.
